Rahana is a mother, and biracial woman of color. She holds a BS in Human Development, and also was a reporter for her school newspaper. She is currently in graduate school and is working on her Masters in Counseling. She has spent most of her career working in social services in the mental health and addiction realms, and has a vision to help people connect and let their light shine. She is also an ordained minister for wedding and celebrations of life, a reiki healer, and an essential oil educator. She has faced a lot of adversity in her life by growing up in a household of addiction, and domestic violence. She has also faced her own addictions growing up in the sin city streets of Las Vegas. With these experiences, she wants to offer hope and healing to people around the world. In this episode, we have Rahana Bear she’s a healer whose been in the social services field for 19 years. She’s worked with adolescents, adults, and elders. She has a BS in Human Development and is currently working on getting her master's in counseling focusing on healing trauma with women and adolescent girls through a more holistic lens. Her love for helping people has been a lifelong journey as she grew up in a household of alcohol abuse and domestic violence. She’s seen the darkness but seen the light. Other practices of hers include reiki, work as an ordained minister educate families on the benefits of essential oils. She hopes that she can inspire and encourage others on a healing journey that allows you to do the same with others. Starla Arnold, Crown of Reason
In her second year as Miss Multnomah County; Starla Arnold offers insight into her journey from showing horses in her youth, to also building cars and bikes in her teen years. She has also modeled, which gave her an opportunity to now use her platform as Miss Multnomah County to bring awareness into neurological and autoimmune disorders. Starla also offers insight into self-care practices that have helped her and can hopefully help build confidence in other women.
